The sweet Harriet went to her house and was waiting for her owner, Candace. Harriet waited and waited but she didn’t come. So she went to find sparkling cold and icy water for poor and thirsty Joey and she did. So she went to give it to him. Joey finished his icy, cold water but he was still really thirsty. Harriet went to the police dog and she told him that someone isn’t taking care of their dog. The police dog said, “We’ll try to set Joey free and give him to a loveable and responsible person who will take awesome care of it.” Then the police dog told the police person what is happening. The police took Joey away from the horrible owners. When they took Joey away they went to Candace’s house and told her what happened. Then Candace gave Harriet a big treat. Two months later, Candace and Harriet saw Joey with a girl walking him and Joey looked delighted. He looked well fed and was with an awesome owner. Candace and Harriet the great cat were glad because they lived next door.

One hour later Harriet was waiting for her owner to come home…tick, tock tick tock. Candace! You’re here! There is a dog named Joey and I need you to help! Said Harriet. What are you saying Harriet? To Candace Harriet was just saying meow meow. Harriet made a weird face at Candace. Harriet ran as fast as she could and jumped on the kitchen counter and kept on trying to grab the bowl. Finally Harriet grabbed the bowl and walked over to the sink and she turned on the water and the bowl began to fill. Then she ran to the basement, jumped out the window, jumped over the wall, and walked to Joey. I got you some water. Thank you, said Joey. You’re welcome, said Harriet. Then Harriet had an idea. Wait here, she said. Harriet ran back to the house, grabbed her owners hand and took Candace to Joey. Right after Candace saw the dog, she said OHMY, no dog should be chained up! Candace walked to Joey’s owner’s house looking very curious. Ding dong. Hi, is this your dog? Asked Candace. Why yes, yes it is, said Joey’s owner. Do you mind if I can have it? asked Candace. Sure, said Joey’s old owner. Joey’s owner gave them a hammer to break the chain. Candace took the hammer and broke the chain into tiny little pieces and they lived happily ever after.

One day Harriet went home to make a plan to help Joey. Then Harriet visited Joey to tell him about her plan. “I’m going to show my owner that you’re chained up,” said Harriet. That afternoon Harriet tried to her owner, but her owner was too busy. “I guess it’s time for plan B,” Harriet said. “I hope plan B will work,” Joey said. The first thing that Harriet did in the morning is she went to visit her mice friend. “I promise not to eat you if you help my friend Joey,” Harriet said. “Mmm,” mumbled the mice. “Okay!” yelled the mice. Then, Harriet ran swiftly back to Joey. Harriet and the mice quietly crawled through the fence. “Oh my God, it’s an army of mice!” screamed Joey. “No, calm down. It’s just my friends. They’re going to help you,” Harriet said calmly. Then, the mice suddenly chewed on the chain. “It’s working,” Harriet said, hoping it would work. Suddenly, the chain was open. “Yes,” yelled Joey and Harriet. “Come on, let’s go to my house to meet my owner,” Harriet said. “Maybe she’ll adopt you. Then, Harriet’s owner kept Joey and Joey and Harriet will be best friend’s forever.

Harriet ran up to the window from the basement. She got a cup of water and tried to get down to the ground with the cup of water and take it to Joey. “Thanks Harriet,” said Joey. “That’s what the great Harriet is for.” Now, how to fix the chain problem? Candace came and Harriet said, “She will help.” Harriet went with Candace. Harriet started to purr. What do you want Harriet? Candace followed Harriet. Candace saw Joey. She wanted to talk to her neighbors about Joey. She said imagine if you didn’t have water and had a chain. Joey’s owners decided to give Joey to someone who could take care of Joey better. Joey lived happy.
