PACC911 focuses on providing venues for large joint adoption functions. These well attended events create an ideal opportunity for the animal welfare groups to gain exposure for their organizations and the services they provide, while offering the animals needing to be re-homed a new chance to be seen. These venues also enable the groups the chance to educate the unknowing public about key issues, such as the need to spay and neuter pets as a means of reducing pet euthanasia.

What a wonderful day we had at the Franciscan Renewal Center! Perfect weather and a great turnout of groups and adopters; the flow just kept coming! County had 6 adoptions, Mixed up Mutts had 8, Sonoita (a new member from southern AZ) had 3 or 4, Pet Allies from Northern AZ had 4 or 5. Chihuahuas were going like crazy... Yup! the bell was ringing all day!!! A sound of great joy to us all! Just when we thought it was over and we were starting to tear down, Mash Unit came to say they had their first 2 adoptions of the day!!! In all we sent 91 animals to new loving homes on this glorious day!
Mesa Riverview Mall Adopt-A-Thon Dobson Rd & Loop 202 Red Mtn. Freeway Saturday, March 29th, 10am-3pm Show MAP Flyer Great job by all our Pet Parners and volunteers! The event exceeded our expectations as a first event in a new venue by a mile due in great part to the wonderful publicity generated by our partner The McRae agency represented by Nicole Traynor and her team. You could barely turn on the TV this week without seeing PACC911 and the precious animals from our Pet Partners!! We had spots on channel 12, channel 5 and Fox 10 including coverage from the event itself last night. We had an amazing 67 adoptions for the day. All the groups were so pleased with the setup (wonderful shade all day) and the traffic. It was a stress free environment with everyone's needs being met from parting gifts (Petco and local merchants) to splash pools for the pups. Through the McRae group, the local merchants contributed wonderful certificates and items for 2 raffle drawings which earned our EMF $203. The PACC store earned another $150 and the blow up jumping structure provided by a MRV merchant another $50 in contributions..so a $400 day in total!
Paws Around the Fountain, Fountain Hills Adopt-a-thon Sunday, April 6th, 10am-3pm Fountain Hills Park, 12925 N. Saguaro Blvd. Show MAP Flyer
Thank you all for a wonderful event yesterday in Fountain Hills! Our wonderful hosts ADOG and the Town of Fountain Hills provided a perfect venue and support for a successful Sunday in the park for the animals. Jack Combs was a fun DJ keeping us rockin' to the oldies and supporting Bari in her many duties on the mic. Sheriff Joe was a big hit and brought much applause for his stand on animal cruelty issues. He stayed for a long time autographing pink boxers, handcuffs and posters.
We had a total of 62 adoptions which is wonderful for our 1st time in this venue...the potential for growth is huge with the entire park as our setting. ADOG and the merchants of Fountain Hills provided us with our most successful raffle ever with total proceeds of $748!! The store and donations added $289 to the EMF as well. Thanks to Jack Russell Rescue,Sandy,Gary and their crew, and all their hard work we received another $100 donation and the public had a ball with their Lure Course. This ,of course ,doesn't include donations from Sheriff Joe's signed merchandise and Bruno's Sports Bar and Grill, etc. and sales realized by our individual Pet Partners.
I hope all our Pet Partners had a great day in each of their endeavors. You were patient and cooperative with the single road in and out and created a wonderful atmosphere for education and adoption. DC Ranch Adopt-a-thon Saturday, April 19th 10am-2pm Market Street Park (SE Corner of Thompson Peak Parkway & Pima) 20191 N 90th St. Show MAP Press Release Flyer
What a great day this was for the Animals and for all of us at
PACC911! The event was the best ever at the ranch and we are so
appreciative!! We loved the closer configuration of the tents giving all the
groups access to all the foot traffic. The music was festive and
upbeat and the time we were given to spotlight animals was productive
and did make a big difference! I do believe the emphasis on marketing the adoptions paid off...in the past we seemed to do about 30 or so adoptions at this event but
today we not only met the goal of 50 adoptions but, in fact, we
exceeded it! We ended the day with a whooping 51 wagging tails going
to new homes! (Actually, that included at least one beautiful meow...) This was far and away our best number for our seven year partnership! The raffle with matching funds is awesome. We look forward to
adding that substantial and generous donation to our Emergency Medical
Fund , Helping more animals to mend and find homes. Again our sincere thanks to all of you at DC RANCH for holding
this great annual event, for all the hard work you put into it, and for
your shared love and compassion for the animals!

The St. Francis Festival was a huge success! It seems like everyone came out to the PACC911 Adoptathon and Blessing of the Animals held at the Franciscan Renewal Center. Literally thousands of people were there each day to adopt, bless, or wash down their animals at our annual dog wash! 227 lucky pets went to new homes this weekend and we could have not asked for more...except maybe a breeze or two as it was the hottest end of October ever!
KPMG Pet Adopt-A-Thon Saturday, November 3rd, 10am-3pm The Promenade Corporate Center Amphitheatre Area Flyer Show MAP 16427 & 16435 N Scottsdale Rd (at the Promenade at Frank Lloyd Wright) The KPMG Event was lovely. The day was perfect and about 12 groups had plenty of room to showcase their animals to a steady flow of people. It was a relaxed atmosphere and despite the wrong address published by the newspaper, people found us! 12 animals went to new homes this day, but many more applications were taken and the number will surely grow! The KPMG staff of volunteers were wonderful and so helpful to all the groups. We had ample help with set up and tear down and dogs were walked and catered to. The raffle baskets that KPMG put together were beautiful and all monies from those will come to PACC911 at the end of the day. KPMG Also had their traditional bake sale which we always enjoy...too much! We are fortunate and appreciative to have such a wonderful partnership every year. We look forward to many more!

Fall 2006 Adopt-A-Thons Franciscan Renewal Saturday & Sunday, October 28th & 29th, 10am-4pm 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ We successfully adopted out a total of approx 240 animals for the 2 day event. We are thrilled with these wonderful adoption numbers, and hope that the aftermath leads to even more animals finding loving homes... which it often does. Thanks to all who helped in the many ways that you each contributed!!! Many of us witnessed a touching finale as an older brown shepherd mix, Lady, who won our hearts, finally was adopted at the final hour of the day... we shed a few tears over that one.. and consider the day extra special because of this. Susan Rene, local artist and friend who donated a beautiful original work of art which was used for the t shirts that the Casa produced, was on site with husband Bill the entire 2 days helping to raise money for PACC911 by selling her wonderful prints. Then she topped off the day by adopting little Oscar... a precious poodle from the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control! The dog wash was busy cleaning dirty pooches, the blessing was busy and successful and we all had a wonderful time!!! I made an appearance on channel 5 on Friday morning prior to the event and had 5 adoptable animals with me from Mixed up Mutts and Finding Fido -all of these adorable characters found new homes, including a blind shi tzu and a handicapped kitty! Channel 5 later came to the event on Sat and ran a great spot which promoted our Sunday adoption day. Things went well and we are thankful and tired today. Jim, Dan, Rachel and all from the Casa did such a great job promoting the event and putting their part together. Thank you all! We love this event and enjoy working with the great people at the Casa. Thank you all again for your help and support. For the Animals... Bari Mears PACC911
KPMG Pet Adopt-A-Thon Saturday, November 11th, 10am - 4pm The Prominade Corporate Center Amphitheatre Area 16427 & 16435 N Scottsdale Rd (at the Promenade at Frank Lloyd Wright) What a beautiful day we had on Saturday Nov 11th for our KPMG adoption event! The location was lovely and perfect for the 30 groups who attended. The groups commented on the location and really loved it. The day resulted in 25 total adoptions that we know of. I say that because there were quite a few that were going to be followed up at county and with several other groups,we hope to hear an even increased number as days go by. But 25 is a great number for an event competing with Nascar and the many other things going on in our busy city! As always, there were touching stories with some tears shed as a once homeless lonely dog with tail down walks off proudly with tail awaggin! He knows he has been chosen. Such was the case with No-Name, a Bengie type dog who now I am certain has a name and a great home! Our thanks to our fantastic partners at KPMG for the hard work and planning they put into this event, our 5th Annual with them. Raffle prizes were great and garnered much interest, the bake sale was yummy, and the help they provided the rescue groups with their many volunteers was incredible. We thank you KPMG, for choosing us to partner with for 5 years and counting!
Ben & Jerry's Pet Adopt-A-Thon Saturday, December 2nd, 10am-3pm Ben & Jerry's 860 East Warner Road, Gilbert, AZ What a great day it was for the animals in the East Valley as Ben and Jerry's rallied with PACC911 to host a fabulous adoption event! The day was cool and crisp and the animals were friskly and playful... the crowd was steady... and for a small event, we are thrilled to announce that at least 38 animals were lucky to get home to their NEW homes for the holidays! Ben and Jerry's were wonderful and enthusiastic hosts, giving out dog collars and leashes to the adoptees... also free ice cream... The PACC staff enjoyed the day, and the ice cream as well... This was our last adoptathon for 2006!
