A Shelter Dog's Story
The story of how an ill-mannered former shelter dog, Vinny Love,
transforms into a wonderful companion with talent!
"I didn't raise him from when he was a puppy. In fact, I know nothing of his history. He's not purebred. And he didn't have the perfect manners, in fact he had aggression issues! However, with training, he was able to transform into a great dog with wonderful manners. I see tons of awesome purebred Retrievers, German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, and Jack Russells doing stunts and obedience, but Vinny is proof that mix-breed shelter dogs can do it too, EVEN the ones with behavior issues!
Our goal through these videos is to not only showcase Vinny Love's talent, but more importantly, show the world that there are MILLIONS of remarkable animals just like Vinny being euthanized and KILLED in animal shelters worldwide. If Vinny and I have even inspired 1 person to adopt his/her next animal through our videos, we've done our job."

An inspiring story showing if we all did just one thing together, we could make a difference.

DogsInDanger.com is a nonprofit national shelter outreach program at the forefront of a grassroots movement trying to help shelters save the lives of millions of innocent dogs.
A NATIONAL TRAGEDY
We are a nation of dog lovers. Then why is it that the shelters that are expected to provide these animals with a second chance at life are instead being forced to euthanize them?
Shelters are the last line for millions of innocent dogs. The public has no idea of the magnitude of this national tragedy. The sad reality is that over four million dogs are killed each year in shelters. Why, in a country of dog lovers, are so many dogs homeless? Because their families abandon them, for reasons like job change, divorce and new baby… and most shelters don’t have the necessary programs to get the dogs the exposure they need to find new homes. Shelters find homes for many dogs, but millions are euthanized. For far too long we have been told there is no other way.
AND A REASON FOR HOPE DogsInDanger.com believes in the power of compassion, and that Americans would do more to help and adopt shelter dogs, if only they knew how many dogs shelters were forced to euthanize. We also believe that shelters don’t really want to euthanize dogs, if they had any other option. Simply put, we have chosen a path of technology as a means of connecting these scared, abandoned shelter dogs with the loving homes they deserve. As a nonprofit organization, we seek no other gain except for the happiness we see in the face of a dog as he faithfully walks out through the shelter doors, in perfect step with his loving new family.
It may be uncomfortable for some to see lists of names and photos of dogs scheduled to be euthanized, but, the truth is uncomfortable. By making it personal, we believe more people will be compelled to help these dogs. Thus dogsindanger.com refuses to present a sanitized version of the truth. Our ultimate goal is to see a day where healthy and treatable animals are no longer killed by their most trusted friends.

Wildlife Rescue Groups (listed below are not PACC partners)
Never try to raise a wild animal yourself. It's what you DON'T KNOW that can hurt the animal. Contact someone immediately as every hour of improper care can decrease its chance of survival.
Please remember that unlike some other types of rescue groups that can re-coop some their funding thru adoption fees, many bird and wildlife rescues may rely strictly on donations to be able to save more lives.

HOT OUTSIDE? HELP THE WILDLIFE WITH WATER: As hot as you are, the wild critters are hotter. After all they don't have a house or movie or shopping mall they can escape to. No big cool drinks or pools to splash in. So how about you help them out. How? Just put a small, shallow dish (with small stones in it) of water in a shady spot or hose down under the bushes. Animals will drink from the dish and scrape out a small depression next to it or under the bush and it will help them cool off a little. DO NOT put out big, deep bowls. That will attract larger animals and will drown little Quail (they cannot swim and once their feathers are wet they sink).
